Netweaver is going to be a Future Hot Technology

Hi , I am Aravind, working on SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portals from past 1.5 years, Here u first need to know abut the what is net weaver , and what are the different technical domains contains in this.
Netweaver is an integration platform , in which we can integrate the People, Process , Information and Technology.

Which is

People integration : SAP Enterprise Portals(EP)
Information Integration: SAP BW
Process Integration : SAP XI

Which one we have to choose among above is depends on ur previous exp .if u are a JAVA,J2ee knowledge u can choose SAP EP, if u have a prior Data Warehousing knowledge u can choose SAP BW, if u have a prior work flow knowledge u can go for SAP XI.....

sap.sdn.com will give lots of information on netweaver.

ABAP Webdypros are the good option for ABAP developer

Hi Dharmesh,

Your ABAP experience is definitely helps to you, if you are in to Netweaver, littlie bit of Java knowledge (Core Java, Jdbc, Jsp's) really helps to you as a SAP Enterprise Portal developer, b'z most of the Portal projects developing in java. But there is a option of ABAP developers in case of webdynpros, we can develop webdynpro applications using java or ABAP.
Please refer https://www.sdn.sap.com for more information.

Thanks & Regards
Aravinda

Netweaver is a Good choice

Khushboo:

Netweaver is a good choice if you are a developer. It is where the future of SAP lies and there is a premium for Netweaver folks vs other areas/modules. Siemens is also a good choice since they provide certification too - So there is something concrete that you can show the employer.

From what I know about the Indian market - these days the consulting firms are hiring SAP talent which are fresh too.

So my recommendation is go ahead!

Cheers,
-d.
