Senior Enterprise SAP Architect

Position Summary

Autodesk -

the developer of Autocad and 3D Studio - is looking for a talented SAP Technical Lead to further extend our world class

information technology environment. This position is part of the Enterprise Application Development Team in IT. This group

provides business application analysis, development and support to the worldwide business organization.

This is an

individual contributor role and requires the ability to concisely evaluate the business requirements of the globally

dispersed, end-user organizations and recommend and/or participate in the study of appropriate business solutions. This role

involves active participation with regards to analysis, design, documentation, performance studies, and implementation of

business applications and other mission critical systems as deemed necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a successful

track record of architecting complex solutions in the SAP Enterprise space. The candidate needs to be prepared to deliver in

a fast paced development environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide

leadership in SAP technical evaluations and solution design

* Drive key functional positions and decisions

across both IT and the business

* Evaluate SAP solutions and technologies and their relevance to Autodesk and

the SAP landscape.

* Define product architecture and design. Ability to architect complex solutions.

Drives reference architecture across the entire Enterprise landscape.

* Ability to document and present

complex solutions to senior management within development and business community.

* Provide technical guidance

and support with IT

* Participate in needs analysis, design reviews and provide guidance on detailed design

specifications based on requirements gathered through the business requirements and solution design phases

Work with development and the business in the support of new project initiatives

* Focus on large

initiatives/projects that support long-term business operation strategies

Requirements:

*

Detailed knowledge of SAP technical solutions and how companies are leveraging the technology to solve complex business

requirements.

* BA/BS degree, MBA/MS degree preferred or equivalent

* Demonstrate a proven track

record in building enterprise-class software products and solutions.

* 7+ years experience designing and

implementing enterprise applications

* 5+ years experience with SAP solutions

* Ability to

articulate change implications for any process or system solution to any level in the business organization (from user to

senior management)

* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

* Excellent written and verbal

communication skills

* Has performed in a lead role before, leading peers/consultants

* Ability

to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment

* Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem

solving skills

* Maturity and ability to work independently in a dynamic project environment with aggressive

deadlines

Desired Knowledge/Skills:

* Strong functional knowledge of SAP particularly

in Sales and Distribution

* Strong SAP technical skills (Basis, ABAP, Workflow, Portal, BW)

*

Experience delivering EDI and EAI solutions

* Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and

process improvement and will follow disciplined software development practices.

* Completed at least two full

life cycle implementations of SAP

* Experience with SAP configuration/development; ability to perform technical

solution design
