Open source ERP systems ??

One of the clients I know is very interested in open source solutions. Does

anyone have any recommendations for an open source ERP system (no or very cheap license requirements) ?

Would also

appreciate any comments from experience with open source ERP systems.
Perhaps, other SAP professionals may also be

interested in this as this could even have a bearing on the SAP market in the future.

Thanks
Joe

I have heard some positive

I have heard some positive feedback of 'Compiere' ERP software which seems to be gaining ground for small to mid companies. I don't know this from personal experience, though.

I agree with your comment that as SAP professionals we need to stay aware of open source software which could potentially affect the ERP market. OSS has already changed the landscape in so many other niche segments.
